Can I order an original wedding band directly online?

You can order your original wedding band directly from our online boutique. Choose your design from the ten sculpted rings in the collection (Thalassa, Sobek, Kléos, Daphné, Maât, Akmon, Pontos, Vasuki, or Musubi), select your metal (18k yellow, white, or rose gold, or platinum) and your size. Interior engraving is complimentary. You will receive your wedding band within 3 to 6 weeks.

What is the price of a custom sculpted wedding band at Mayuri Paris?

Our custom sculpted wedding bands start at €850. This price includes the artisanal work of the chiseled motif in the metal (wave, scales, laurel, chevron, hammered, or twisted), the precious metal of your choice, and complimentary interior engraving. The price varies according to the metal, the band width, and the complexity of the engraved motif.

What is the difference between an engraved wedding band and interior engraving?

An engraved wedding band refers to a ring with a motif chiseled, sculpted, or hammered on the outer surface of the metal: waves, scales, laurel, chevron, or twists. Interior engraving is a complimentary service offered by Mayuri Paris to personalize the inside of your wedding band with a date, initials, or a short message. The two techniques are distinct and complementary.

Are Mayuri's original wedding bands suitable for both men and women?

All our original wedding bands are created for her and for him. Sobek comes in two widths, 1.5 mm for her and 2.7 mm for him. The other designs (Thalassa, Kléos, Daphné, Maât, Akmon, Pontos, Vasuki, Musubi) are worn as is, by her as well as by him. Chiseled and hammered rings find their elegance in the worked metal, beyond gendered codes.

What is the production time for a chiseled wedding band?

Your chiseled wedding band is made to order by our workshop. Production time is 3 to 6 weeks depending on the chosen design, the metal, and the time of year. For a specific date, we invite you to place your order at least two months before your ceremony.

Is resizing possible after purchase?

Resizing your original wedding band is possible after receipt. Contact us before any return: we will guide you through the process according to the design. For twisted bands (Vasuki, Musubi) and heavily chiseled rings, feasibility is studied case by case, as the motif must remain continuous.

Can I choose between gold and platinum for a hammered wedding band?

All our hammered and sculpted wedding bands are available in 18k gold (yellow, rose, or white) and in platinum. Platinum offers natural whiteness and superior density, ideal for hammered or brushed finishes. 18k gold brings warmth and radiance. The choice of metal influences the final rendering of the chiseled motif and the price.

How do I care for a twisted or sculpted wedding band?

Your twisted or sculpted wedding band requires simple care. Clean it regularly with warm soapy water and a soft brush to preserve the relief of the chiseled motif. Avoid impacts that could flatten the waves, scales, or twists. A professional polish every two years revives the metal's luster and redefines the engravings.

What widths are available for sculpted wedding bands?

Our sculpted wedding bands come in several widths depending on the design. The Sobek ring is available in 1.5 mm and 2.7 mm, soon in 6 mm. Other designs exist in one width, designed for their motif: 3 mm for Kléos, Daphné, and Maât, 4 mm for Akmon. Wide bands reveal more detail of the chiseled motif, while slim bands favor discretion.

Can I return an original wedding band if it doesn't suit me?

Express shipping available worldwide. Returns accepted within 30 days, see our shipping & returns policy for details. Your wedding band must be intact and in its case.

Do the chevron and laurel wedding bands work for mixed couples?

The Maât (chevron) and Kléos or Daphné (laurel) wedding bands are perfectly suited to mixed couples. Sobek offers the same motif in two widths, Kléos and Daphné feature the laurel in two twin designs, Maât carries the chevron for him. The motif remains the shared signature, the width adapts to each hand.

Does the warranty cover chiseled and hammered motifs?

Your sculpted wedding band is guaranteed for two years against any manufacturing defect. This warranty covers the metal's strength, the durability of the chiseled or hammered motif, and the quality of the interior engraving. It excludes natural wear, everyday scratches, and deformations caused by impact. Regular care preserves the beauty of sculpted reliefs over time.

All your questions about original wedding bands

The questions we are asked most often about original wedding bands: materials, care, symbolism and styling advice.

What is a sculpted original wedding band?

A sculpted original wedding band is distinguished by raised or recessed metalwork. The pattern emerges directly from the metal, without added stones or settings.

At Mayuri Paris, each ring in the collection carries a distinctive texture: the wave of the Thalassa, scales of the Sobek, laurel leaves of the Daphné, chevrons of the Maât, hammered finish of the Akmon, or twist of the Vasuki.

The design runs through the full thickness of the 18k gold or platinum and never fades over time.

Why choose a wedding band without stones?

A wedding band without stones offers timeless simplicity. It suits those who work with their hands, play sports, or prefer discreet jewelry for everyday wear.

The sculpted designs in the Originals collection bring character and personality without relying on stone settings. The pattern lives within the metal itself.

The band can be worn alone or paired harmoniously with an engagement ring, without visual competition.

What is the symbolism of a twisted wedding band?

The twist symbolizes the intertwining of two lives, two paths that meet and wind around one another. The pattern evokes continuity, movement, and complementarity.

The Vasuki and Musubi designs from Mayuri Paris express this union through helical sculpting, crafted directly into the solid 18k gold or platinum.

Worn on the finger, the twist catches light with every gesture and reveals the depth of the relief.

Thalassa wedding band: what inspired the wave pattern?

Thalassa bears the name of the primordial Greek goddess of the sea. The wave pattern evokes the perpetual movement of the ocean, a symbol of infinity and renewal.

Each crest and trough is hand-carved into 18k gold or platinum, creating a regular, calming rhythm around the entire circumference of the band.

The Pontos wedding band offers a brushed variation on the same theme, delivering a matte, tactile finish.

Can you wear a hammered wedding band every day?

A hammered wedding band is designed for daily wear. The irregular relief of the Akmon resists micro-scratches and gives the metal a lived-in patina over time.

The artisanal hammering disperses light reflections, naturally concealing traces of use. Each band develops its own story.

18k gold and platinum maintain their structural brilliance, even with intensive wear.

What is the difference between an engraved and a chiseled wedding band?

In the Originals collection, the terms engraved and chiseled both refer to a pattern worked into the body of the band, either recessed or in relief.

The interior engraving offered by Mayuri Paris is a personal message inscribed inside the band: a date, initials, or symbol.

The exterior decorative pattern remains visible and permanent, while the interior engraving stays intimate and discreet.

Sobek wedding band: why three different widths?

The scale pattern of the Sobek is available in 1.5 mm and 2.7 mm, with a 6 mm version coming soon, to suit all styles and hand shapes.

The 1.5 mm version offers discretion and lightness, ideal for slender fingers. The 2.7 mm balances presence and comfort. The 6 mm asserts character and volume, with an architectural feel.

Each width allows you to choose the intensity of relief and sculpted surface, without altering the reptilian inspiration of the design.

How do you pair an original wedding band with an engagement ring?

A sculpted wedding band pairs naturally with a solitaire or delicate setting. The relief of the band adds texture and depth, without competing with the center stone.

The Kléos, Daphné, or Maât designs, with their regular patterns, create a harmonious transition between an engagement ring and a wedding band.

Unsure about the pairing? Write to us with your engagement ring reference and we will recommend the most suitable band.

Why the laurel motif on a wedding band?

The laurel has symbolized victory, glory, and permanence since antiquity. In Greek mythology, it embodies protection and fidelity, attributes dear to Apollo and Daphne.

The Kléos and Daphné wedding bands feature this plant motif, chiseled in a continuous frieze around the band. Each leaf interlocks with the next, forming an unbroken crown.

Wearing laurel on your finger recalls solemn commitment and the celebration of an enduring union.

Maât chevron wedding band: what is its meaning?

Maât embodies order, truth, and cosmic balance in Egyptian mythology. The chevron pattern conveys this rigor through bold, symmetrical geometry.

The broken lines running across the band evoke stability and trajectory, each angle pointing forward like an arrow of shared direction.

Carved into 18k gold or platinum, the Maât asserts structure and modernity while anchoring itself in millennia-old symbolism.

Can you alter the pattern of a sculpted wedding band over time?

The pattern sculpted into 18k gold or platinum is fixed by nature: it is one with the metal and runs through the full thickness of the band.

Any subsequent modification would require completely recasting the band. Resizing remains possible after delivery, and complimentary interior engraving can be added at the time of order.

The original relief remains intact throughout a lifetime, like an indelible imprint of the commitment made.

Pontos wedding band: what is the difference from the Thalassa?

Pontos and Thalassa share a marine inspiration but differ in their finish. The Thalassa features a polished wave, with bright crests that catch light in a classic manner.

The Pontos receives a matte brushing after carving, offering a soft touch and contemporary finish. The reflections diffuse in a continuous wash, without distinct glints.

Both styles suit women and men equally, depending on preference for brilliance or understated elegance.
